Royals Inn Motel

I stayed here on a cycling trip. Rooms were quaintly decorated and spotless. The proprietor locked my bike up for me to keep it secure. Good location due to proximity to businesses including groceries. On Highway 2 but not very noisy.

They don’t take reservations online so don’t book any reservations online! you can only call to make reservations but the beds were comfortable! And had a good night sleep!

This is not a luxury hotel, but if you are looking for a price friendly place in a secluded location it’s a great place to go! The room worked great for a one night stay, and had everything that was needed. This location also felt quite safe, I did not have any issues at all. The hotel manager was very understanding and super kind! I am glad we got to stop here you should definitely ask him about the pictures on his wall he has some great stories! I would definitely stay here again. Note: CALL to RESERVE it’s the best way!

If staying in Malta for a short time (especially off the train) this is a great choice. It’s right across the street from the Amtrak station—closest possible place to stay. Service was great; they even stored our bags for us while we explored town waiting for our next train to come in. The rooms itself was just alright. Completely fine for just a night, but not the most comfortable it could be.

Oh my goodness what a cute owner. Charles is a delightful man. He directed us actually the train tracks to a cute bar with fresh Angus burgers. The rooms were comfy and beds comfy. Room was clean. Lovely quilts on the beds. Very good rates. It is a cute mom and pop hotel. So glad to stop here on the way to Banff. We will definitely stay here again as we are traveling through this way. Yes we are close to the train tracks but I sleep with ear plugs in every hotel so noise is generally not a factor.

Hotel was reasonably priced and the room was on the small side but clean & comfortable. The only reason I didn't leave 5 stars was the parking is really terrible especially when you have an entitled Washington pickup that instead of pulling into a designated parking space in front of a room they park sideways across four spaces & management doesn't make them correct it. Also there were trucks with trailers in the lot making it VERY difficult to pull into or leave the lot. Otherwise it's a great little motel.

The owner is an awesome gentleman. Great hospitality from everyone who works there. Clean rooms, and pet friendly. I like staying during rodeos, fishing, and hunting seasons.

Cheap place. Pretty clean except for the 3 empty cans of beer under the bed. The man who owns or runs the place is so sweet. Would definitely stay again.
